MYSIA, Kyzikos (Cyzicus), second period, (c.550-500 B.C.), electrum stater on Phokaic standard (16.24 g), obv. sphinx crouching to left, below tunny fish to left, rev. quadripartite incuse punch mark (cf S.3818, Von Fritze 72, SNG France 200). Struck on an irregular flan, good very fine and rare.

Ex Nomos 15, lot 134. Previously Nomos 11, 9 October 2015, 103. From a European collection formed in the 1920s and ex Naville X, 15 June 1925, 650 (sold for CHF 1100 to 'Sola'). With tickets.
