FAMILY PAIR. Father: Imperial Service Medal (EVIIR) type 1 (1902-1920). Unnamed. Son: Imperial Service Medal (GVR) type B (1931-1937). Harry James Tyrrell. Impressed. Both in cases of issue, first case with strip of wood missing at base, good very fine.

The father was a shipwright and the son an assistant draughtsman at HM Dockyard Portsmouth.

Both accompanied by a letter. The first letter dated 14th July 1905 to H.J.Tyrrell in recognition of his meritorious services in the Portsmouth Dockyard; the second to Harry James Tyrrell for meritorious services rendered.
