PAIR: British South Africa Company's Medal 1890-97, Rhodesia 1896 reverse; Queen's South Africa Medal 1899, (type 3 reverse), - clasp - Cape Colony. Troopr H.E.Gilbert. "E" Troop BFF on first medal, 849 Serjt: H.E.Gilbert. Border Scouts on second medal. First medal engraved, second medal impressed. Both ribbons with glue residue, second medal with irregular toning, otherwise good very fine.

849 and 40692 Sgt Harry Edward Gilbert confirmed on nominal roll of Border Scouts. Enlisted 21Jan1902 at Cape Town, Discharged 24Nov1902 at Cape Town.
