James Michael Nolan, warehouseman, age 20, born at Moorooka, Brisbane, Qld; Enl.09Oct1914 at Brisbane, Qld in 1 Gen Hosp, AMC with previous service in Colonial Forces; Emb 21Nov1914 and proceeded to join BEF at Alexandria; to France 06Apr1916; Trf to Aus Gen Base Depot 02Jul1917; 24Jan1918 disciplined for behaviour of impertinence to Staff Nurse Spriggins after being instructed to perform orderly duties - awarded 7 days; RTA 24Sep1918; Disch.24Jan1919; later worked as a commercial traveller; Died 10Aug1931 at Ardoyne Hospital, Corinda, Brisbane, Qld; Buried 11Aug1931 at Toowong Cemetery.
