AFRICA, Songye, Luba, late 19th century, forged iron axe head, of pierced triangular shape with figural motifs of faces, (260mm long); Kenya, early 20th century, fighting ring, semicircular steel blade mounted on an iron and copper ring, (75mm long); Maasai or Ethiopian, early 20th century, steel spearhead for small game, two-pronged form with designs to the shaft, (550mm long); Congo, Yaka people, small ceremonial axe, triangular iron blade, mounted on a wooden handle with linear designs, (470mm long); Angola, Chokwe tribe, early 20th century, wooden ceremonial staff, bulbous head carved with cross-hatching, (420mm long). Very fine. (5)
