JULIUS CAESAR, (c.46 B.C.), silver denarius, uncertain Spanish mint probably Utica, (3.84 g), obv. Ceres head to right, around COS [TERT] DICT ITER, rev. simpulum, sprinkler, capis and lituus, AVGVR above, PONT MAX below, D to right (S.1403, Cr.467/1, Syd.1024, C. Julius Caesar 4). Attractive light toning, some die rust on obverse, nearly extremely fine - extremely fine and very scarce.
