CLAUDIUS, (A.D. 41-54), AE quadrans, Rome mint, issued A.D. 42, (3.53 g), obv. three legged modius, around TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG, rev. S C in centre around PON M TR P IMP COS II, (cf.S.1865, RIC 88, BMC 179). Even dark toning, extremely fine and scarce in this condition.
