BASILISCUS, (475-476), gold solidus, Constantinople Mint, (4.43 g), obv. diademed, draped and cuirassed facing bust Basiliscus, holding spear and shield, around D N bASILIS CVS PP AVG, rev. Victory standing left, holding long cross, star in right field, around VICTORI A AVGGG**G*, in exergue CONOB, (S.21477, RIC 1002, MIR 1a). A few scratches on obverse, very fine - good very fine and very rare.
