BRITISH WAR MEDAL 1914-18. Sister. N.Monckton. A.I.F. Impressed. No ribbon, very fine.

Together with Returned from Active Service (AIF) badge, lugs removed from back and replaced with pin-back, reverse numbered 189769, and also scratched name of Monckton.

British War Medal 1914-18 is sole entitlement.

Nonie Monckton, trained nurse, age 25, born at Rockhampton, Qld; Enl.16Sep1916 in AANS at Garrison Hospital, Victoria Barracks, Sydney, NSW; Emb.16Sep1916 on day of enlistment for service abroad; posted to Gerard Freeman Thomas Hospital in Bombay, India 10Oct1916; to England 25Nov1918; Resigned appointment in consequence of marriage 15Apr1919.
