MILLMERRAN, Queensland, tribute medal in gold and enamel (9ct; 3.44g; 23mm), ring top suspension, obverse inscribed, '1919/Millmerran', reverse inscribed, 'M.J.Kineavy/5th L.H.'. Good very fine.

An enthusiastic welcome home was accorded to returned soldiers from the Millmerran district at the Public Hall on Thursday night 20 November 1919. The President of the Millmerran Welcome Home Committee, Mr G.W.Beer, on behalf of the citizens offered a hearty welcome. Mrs A.Putnam of the patriotic committee then presented medals as a token of the district's appreciation. After several speeches a dance was held.
