Recommendation for DCM awarded MM (copied verbatim): During the action at the Litani river on 9/10 Jun 41 L/Cpl. Browne-Cooper, DR, carried messages fwd to the br. Head on numerous occasions whilst under heavy fire. At Saida on 13 Jun 41 he again was responsible for delivery of orders and messages to the fwd. When Comn became more difficult because of an enemy Tk attack he was ordered to carry fwd. a pack wireless set to D. Coy 2/16 Aust. Inf. Bn. Although severely shaken and unnerved he carried the wireless set fwd. a considerable distance under fire to the Coy H.Q. and afterwards returned to Bn. HQ to make his report on D. Coy's. Posn.
