TAURIC CHERSONESE, Pantikapaion, (c. 500-480 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (1.47 g), obv. lion's scalp facing, rev. quadripartite incuse square with four raised quarters with **P*AN and eight-rayed star, (S.SNG Stancomb 521; SNG BM 847 var.). Toned, about extremely fine and very rare.
