CARIA, Islands of Rhodos, Rhodes, (c.408/7-404 B.C.), silver tetradrachm (14.93 g), obv. head of Helios facing slightly to right, rev. **RODION* above a large rose with bud to right, pecten to left, all within incuse square, (cf.S.5029, Ashton 6, [p.101], Berend 6 (D8/R9), HGC 6, 1417 [R], SNG Helsinki -; BMC Caria -; SNG Copenhagen -; SNG von Aulock -). Very fine, slight roughness, bright and very rare.
