1902 PROOF CROWN, Edward VII, 1901-1910. S-3979, ESC-3562, L&S 2, Davies 1500 (N). 28.27g. Large lettered edge DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI II in relief, equivalent dies to the Five Sovereign though slightly larger. Differences in the microcrystalline texture in the fields support it being struck from a different die pair to the previous crown - lot XXX. Reverse - Benedetto Pistrucci's St George and the Dragon small B.P. in relief below right of the exergue. Medium even tone, FDC.
