MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.49 g), Side Mint, Antigonos I Monophthalmos, issued c.320-317/16 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, pomegranate to left, to right **ALEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6730, Price -). Heavily toned, some loss of lamination nearly very fine and scarce.
