GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianus (3.70 g), Rome mint, issued 241-242 A.D. obv. radiate bust to right of Gordian III, draped and cuirassed, rev. Gordian in military dress, standing right with spear & globe, (S.8646, RIC 92, RSC 253). Lightly toned, extremely fine.
