TRIO: The Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George (Companion) neck badge; Jubilee Medal 1935; Coronation Medal 1937. All unnamed as issued but attributed to Sir Harry Budge. The CMG in case by Garrard & Co Ltd and the medals in boxes of issue, extremely fine.

Together with parchment certificate for the award of the CMG to Henry Sinclair Campbell Budge and an official letter advising of the appointment to the order; a large hinged lidded box (W24.5 x L22.5 x H8.5cm), marked on the lid with the gold blocked name, 'Sir Harry Budge' and British Royal coat-of-arms; a miniature of the Jubilee Medal in a small hinged lidded case; a fruit/dessert knife and fork set for 6 with mother-of-pearl handles in a fitted timber case for a full dinner knife and fork set by Hardy Bros Ltd (Sydney & Brisbane), made in England and on the case lid is a silvered plate inscribed, 'To/Henry C. Budge/from/Frederic Lord Chelmsford/1909-1913'.

Also entitled to a KBE conferred in 1935.

CMG: Supplement to LG 2/1/1928, p4, to Henry Sinclair Campbell Budge Esq., Official Secretary to the Governor and Clerk to the Executive Council, State of New South Wales.

Jubilee Medal: confirmed award to Sir Henry Sinclair Campbell Budge Kt, CMG, Civil Servant.

Coronation Medal: confirmed award to Sir Henry Sinclair Campbell Budge Kt, CMG, Commerce.

Henry 'Harry' Sinclair Campbell Budge entered the NSW public service in 1889 and was Personal Secretary to the NSW Governor Admiral Sir Harry Rawson from 1902 to 1905 and then Official Secretary from December 1905 through to June 1936 to Governors Rawson, Frederick Napier (Baron Chelmsford), Sir Gerald Strickland (Count della Catena), Sir Walter Davidson, Admiral Sir Dudley de Chair, Air Vice Marshall Sir Philip Game and Sir Alexander Hore-Ruthven. He died on 6 June 1946.

Sir Harry Budge Buried Yesterday - Many leading citizens attended the funeral service of Sir Harry Budge at St. James' Church yesterday afternoon. Sir Harry Budge died on Wednesday at his home at Point Piper at the age of 73. He was official secretary to every State Governor from 1902 to 1936. Archbishop Mowll conducted the service. Chief mourners were two sons, W.O. Charles Budge and Dr. Alexander Budge, and three daughters, Mrs. Harold Cribb and Misses Sadie and Rosemary Budge.

The Premier (Mr. McKell) was represented by the Under-Secretary of the Premier's Department (Mr. J. W. Ferguson). Others present were the Leader of the State Country Party (Mr. M. F.Bruxner), Sir Henry Manning, and the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly (Mr.W. R. McCourt). Sir Harry Budge was buried at St. Thomas' Church of England Cemetery, Enfield.
