SUFFOLK REGIMENT, voided sweetheart brooch in sterling silver (33x34mm), hallmarked for Birmingham 1895 by maker 'R & W' (Reynolds & Westwood), pin-back. Good very fine.

The Suffolk Regiment served in the Colony of Victoria in 1854 and detachments from the regiment joined the 40th Regiment of Foot and colonial police in suppressing the Eureka Rebellion. Some members of the regiment also served in the New Zealand Wars between 1860 and 1867.
