GERMANY, WWI, SMS Prinzregent Luitpold canteen token, no value, in zinc. Much oxidation, otherwise very fine and scarce.

The SMS Prinzregent Luitpold was a Kaiser Class battleship of the Imperial German Navy launched in 1912 and commissioned in 1913. She participated in all of the major fleet operations of World War I including the Battle of Jutland. After Germany's defeat in World War I, just days before signing the treaty, Rear Admiral Ludwig von Reuter ordered the German fleet, including the Prinzregent Luitpold, be scuttled so the British could not access them.
