CILICIA, Anemorium, Valerian (253-260 A.D.), AE 26, (11.22 g), year 3 = 255-256 A.D., obv. radiate bearded bust draped to right of Valerian around AV K **PO LI OV ALERIANON*, dotted border, rev. mummiform cult statue of Artemis facing, holding branch in each hand, at feet on left a stag, around most of ethnic MOVPIE**WN ET G ANE*, (S.4485, BMC 12 [with radiate head], cf.SNG France 2, Cilicie 714-715 [year 2, laureate head with doe], 714 = Waddington 4181, Ziegler 212-214 [laureate heads, with doe on reverse]). Attractive patination, very fine/ good very and very rare with radiate head.
