SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria, Antioch mint, autonomous issue, assigned to period of Hadrian (117-138), AE trichalkon, (5.27 g), issued dated 177 of the Caesaran Era = 128/9 A.D.; obv. laureated head of Zeus to right, legend around, rev. Boule of Antioch seated left, dropping pebbles into urn, (S.-, McAlee 126a). Nearly very fine almost black patina, minor scratches on reverse, very rare.
