MESOPOTAMIA, Edessa, Diadumenian, as Caesar, (217-218 A.D.), silver tetradrachm, (15.04 g), obv. bareheaded draped and cuirassed bust to right of Diadumenian, legend around, rev. eagle standing facing head to right, with wings spead and a wreath in beak, shrine with pediment between legs, legend around, (S.-, Prieur 869). A few minor flan flaws, otherwise very fine and rare.
