INDIA, Independent States, Sikh Empire, Second Sikh Occupation (VS 1875 - 1905; 1818 -1849), Nanakshahi Rupee, (11.15 g), Multan mint, VS 1897 (1840), obv. tulip flower and smaller long-stemmed bud within legend, rev. leaf to left of date (Herrli 11.03.04; KM 86.1). Well struck, extremely fine, scarce.
A similar example (same date) was sold in Spink Auction 21125, 27 September 2021 (lot 7125) that realised 280 pounds.
