Arthur Norman Northcott, commercial teacher, age 26, born at Crookwell, Vic; Enl.11Aug1914 at Sydney, NSW, in Expeditionary Force; to Cpl 18Aug1914; RTA18Jan1915; Disch.23Jul1915 as Medically Unfit having suffered Malaria; Enl.14Dec1915 in AIF at Liverpool, Sydney, NSW, with previous service with 36 Infy Bn (Militia) and A.N.&M.E.F.; Emb.22Aug1916; to France 13Dec1916; TOS 1 Bn 18Dec1916; to 4 Officers Cadet Bn, Oxford, England 09Mar1917; to 2Lt 28Jun1917; to France 14Jul1917; TOS 1 Bn 20Jul1917; WIA 30Apr1918, GSW concussion to head, at Battle of the Somme, France; to Lieut. 15May1918; rejoined unit 02Jul1918; WIA 10Aug1918, gassed, France; RTA 08Jan1919; Appt. terminated 21Jul1919; Died 27 Dec1941 at Marrickville, Sydney, NSW after experiencing poor health for many years.
