2217 William Henry Montgomery, carpenter, age 18, born at South Yarra, Vic; Enl.28Mar1915 at Seymour, Vic; Emb.17Jun1915; TOS 7 Bn at Gallipoli 05Aug1915; WIA 08/09Aug1915 at Lone Pine, Gallipoli; rejoined Bn at Gallipoli 19Aug1915; TOS 59 Bn 24Feb1916 at Tel-el-Kebir; to France 29Jun1916; MIA 19Jul1916 and later declared KIA following Court of Inquiry; Presumed buried in No Mans Land.
