TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 607 Pte A.L.Jones. 1/A.N.&M.E.F. on first medal, 607 Pte A.L.Jones. 1 A.N.&M.E.F. on last two medals. All medals impressed. Court mounted, some tone spots, otherwise very fine.
Arthur Leonard Jones, stove fitter, age 25, born at South Oshawa, Ontario, Canada; Enl.12Aug1914 at Sydney, NSW, in AN&MEF, with 3 years service as a trooper in Canadian Dragoons; Disch.04Mar1915 on termination of engagement; applied to join AIF, 6RFTS for 2Bn, 06May1915 at Liverpool, Sydney, NSW; Medical Examination report dated 14May1915 determined that he had a hernia on his right side received while on service in New Guinea and as such was unfit for active service so he was discharged.
