TOC H is an international Christian movement that was founded at Poperinghe in Belgium in 1915 during World War I to give aid to soldiers and civilians affected by the war. It was situated in Talbot House and the name TOC H is an abbreviation of Talbot House with TOC signifying the letter T in the signals spelling alphabet used by the British Army during World War I. In 1925 there was a branch opened in South Australia and another in Victoria as well as other branches that have been established throughout Australia. The organisation is still active in Australia and other countries providing a variety of services.
