WWI, TRENCH ART CIGARETTE LIGHTER IN BRASS (CIRCULAR AND CONVEX ON BOTH SIDES, 52mm diameter), fitted to the centre of one side is a USA 1898 Barber silver quarter dollar and on the opposite side is a French silver one franc (1898-1900), above this is inscribed, 'RHEINS' and below, '1918'. Screw-on fitting besides striking wheel missing, otherwise fine.

Rheins appears to be a misspelling of Rheims, a city in France, where a battle took place between the Germans and Allied forces in 1918.
