H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh Visited Victoria, 1867, Laid Foundation Stone of Town Hall Melbourne, in gold (7.50g; 23mm) (C.1867/3), by T.Stokes. Pierced hole at top for suspension, surface sweating, otherwise nearly fine and rare.
In a letter held by the National Gallery of Victoria, the Town Clerk of the City of Melbourne advised that 26 medals were struck in gold.
