CHINA, Canton or Hong Kong, 1890-1920, complete ivory chess set, one side stained red and the other left natural, kings and queens are modelled as emperor and empress, bishops as mandarins, knights as horsemen, rook as elephants with turrets and flags and pawns as infantrymen. Minor damage, otherwise very fine. (32)
