TRIO: 1914-15; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 18131 Pte G.S.Inglis K.O.SCO.Bord on all three medals. Impressed. Good very fine.

George Sutherland Inglis, Pte King's Own Scottish Borderers, born 10Dec1894 in Lauder, Berwickshire, Scotland; Enl.18Apr1917; Disch 18Apr1917 medically unfit. ^After discharge Inglis took up an appointment on a rubber estate in Java then became manager of a tea plantation in Sumatra. He died of Berri Berri and dysentery in the Internment Camp Belalau, Palembang, South Sumatra on 04Apr1945. ^^With research including copy of WWI service details and ships passenger lists.
