TRIO TO KIA: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 3102 Pte G.D.Parr. 13/Bn. A.I.F. on first medal, 3102 L-Cpl G.D.Parr. 13 Bn. A.I.F. on second medal, last medal with naming removed. The named medals impressed. The last medal with contact marks, otherwise very fine.

Together with Memorial Plaque named to George Dixon Parr; trio of matching miniature medals; miniature riband bar; LG (Lewis Gunner) embroidered arm badge; oxidised bronze Rising Sun hat badge (KC); oxidised bronze lapel badge for 1, 3 and INF, all with two lugs on back (i.e 13 Inf); 13 Battalion unit colour patch lapel badge in enamel with A in centre, pin-back; WWI Nearest Female Relative badge in silver and enamel, reverse numbered 72301; white metal tag inscribed on one side, '3102 G.D.Parr/13 Batt/A.I.F./Meth', other side with stipple engraving but difficult to read; POW 'Hon. Collector Appeal' badge No.12540, by Amor, Sydney; circular painted metal badge, with Red Cross at top and below, 'This House Helps/To Support An/Australian/Prisoner Of/War'; miniature leather slouch hat lapel badge, no suspension; miniature brass scimitar letter opener; postcard with woven flower design (damaged at edge); pocket watch in base metal by Dunklings, heavily oxidised and with chips to enamel face (not working); WWI trio riband bar; tinnie badge for Dardanelles, medalet to commemorate the landing at Gallipoli, and another a 1919 Peace Medal as given to school children.^^George Dixon Parr, labourer, age 27, born at Georgetown, Qld; Enl.02Jul1915 at Liverpool, Sydney, NSW; Emb.06Sep1915; to hospital at Abbassia with mumps 21Nov1915; rejoined Bn 04Feb1916; to France 01Jun1916; to L/Cpl 29Jul1916; KIA 12Aug1916, France, no known grave; commemorated at Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour; Brisbane Albert Street Uniting Church Honour Roll; Roma Cenotaph; Town of Roma and Shire of Bungil WWI Honour Board; Villers-Bretonneux Memorial in France.
