GROUP OF FIVE: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45; Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (EIIR Dei Gratia). NX94238 J.R.Day on first four medals, Jack Raymond Day on last medal. All medals impressed. Swing mounted, contact marks, otherwise very fine - good very fine.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 72 (lot 2337).^^Together with AMF Army Rehabilitation 1945 booklet; cigarette case in plated brass, centre inscribed, 'JD'.^^Jack Raymond Day, truck driver, age 21, born at Melbourne, Vic; Enl.01Apr1942 at Paddington, Sydney, NSW; (originally enlisted under the name of Jack Raymond Cole but rectified this by Statutory Declaration dated 22Jul1942); overseas service in New Guinea 12Aug1943 to 10Feb1944 and SWPA 16Aug1945 to 13Feb1946; Disch.29Jul1946 as Private ex 2/2 Aust Pioneer Bn; later joined Police Force.^^With copy of Service File and other research.
