VESPASIAN, (A.D. 69-79), AE dupondius, Samosata in Commagene mint, issued A.D. 74, (13.284 grams), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to left, around IMP CAESAR VESPASIAN AVG, rev. around PON MAX TR POT P P COS V CENS, winged caduceus between crossed cornucopiae, (cf.S.2472, RIC 798b, C.377). Dark brown patina, very fine and rare.
