GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianii, Rome mint, issued 240 obv. radiate bust right, around IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, rev. AEQVITAS AVG around, with Aequitas standing to left holding scales and cornucopiae, (S.2427, RIC 34, RSC 17) (3); others similar obverse, but IMP CAES GORDIANVS PIVS AVG, rev. as before, (S.2428, RIC 51, RSC 22) (3); others 241-243, similar obverse but IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. as before, (S.2429, RIC 63, RSC 25) (4). Several with green surface oxidation, otherwise nearly fine - very fine. (10)
