ATTICA, Athens, silver tetradrachm, (c.165-42 B.C.), 36mm, (16.90 g), New Style coinage, with the monograms or names, issue struck 177-176 B.C., (revised to 145-144 B.C.), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing a triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with a Pegasos in flight to right above the raised earpiece, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, on amphora, A-**Q*E to left A**P/DW*, and to right **LUSIA*, fore part of bridled horse to right, letter E on amphora, EP below, (cf.S.2555, Thompson 165 var. [with the same obverse die]). Struck on a broad flan, double struck on the reverse, nearly very fine/good fine and very rare, the dies unpublished.
