SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus IV, (175-164 B.C.), AE 30x34, (32.23 g), "Egyptianizing" series, Antioch mint, obv. laureate hed of Zeus-Serapis to right, wearing tainia with Osiris crown at tip, rev. eagle to right with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, legends partially readable to right **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU*, to left ** QEOU and **EPIFAN[OUS]*, (S.6985, ACNAC Houghton 119-120, SMA 60, HGC 9, 643, SC 1413). Off centred on obverse, brown patination, good fine/fine and rare.
