CLODIUS ALBINUS, (A.D. 195-197), silver denarius, Rome mint issued A.D. 195, (2.91 g), obv. bare head of Clodius Albinus to right, around D CLOD SEPT ALBIN CAES, rev. around COS II, Aesculapius standing left, feeding snake which coils up around staff at his side, (S.6140, RIC 2, BMC 88, RSC 9). Toned, nearly extremely fine/good very fine and very scarce.
