SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 232, Rome mint, (3.39 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped, around IMP ALEXAN DER PIVS AVG, rev. SPES P VBLICA, Spes standing to left, holding flower and raising skirt, (S.7927, RIC 254, RSC 546). Bright, full flan, as struck, uncirculated, with about full mint bloom, scarce type and rare in this condition.
