PAIR: Afghanistan Medal 1878-80, three clasps - Charasia, Kabul, Kandahar; Kabul to Kandahar Star 1878-80. 1847 Pte D.McDonald. 92nd Highrs on first medal, second medal unnamed as issued. The named medal engraved in sloping capitals. Extremely fine.

Pte McDonald served in the Afghanistan conflict and at the battle of Majuba Hill on 27Feb1881 against the Boers. This is his full medal entitlement as he was discharged shortly after the last battle.
