MASONIC, Grand Lodge Of Ancient Free & Accepted Masons Of New Zealand Estd. 1890, 50 Years Service badge, struck in silver gilt (33x38mm), by B&S, pin-back suspension, reverse inscribed Bro.G.A.Wiseman/Initiated/13-1-1920'; also, Shamrock Lodge, 448, Masonic 'penny', struck in bronze (39mm). Very fine. (2)

The Shamrock Lodge, No. 448, was opened c1860s in the Masonic Hall, Princes Street, Dunedin, under dispensation from the Provincial Grand Lodge. The 'penny' is contemporary in appearance to Tradesmen's tokens of the era.
