NELSON, anonymous, in zinc (26mm), with central hole, either blank or with traces of what may have been a counterstamp which is no longer clearly evident, likely an inkeeper's or brewery token (cfS.166 and pages 139-140; G.46; TMR.p219). Very good and rare.

Sutherland records similar examples in the Nelson Museum in zinc with the numbers 2, 4, 5 and 8, plus unnumbered bone discs of similar size.

Ex Downies Australian Coin Auctions, Auction 300, 28-30 October 2008 (lot 746).
