HENRY II, (1154-1189), silver penny, short cross type, Class Ib, Exeter Mint, moneyer Richard, issued 1180-1185, (1.36 g), obv. crowned facing bust, holding quatrefoil tipped scepter in right hand, around +HENRICVSR/EX, rev. voided cross pomm?e, quatrefoils in angles, around +RICARD ON EXETER, (S.1344, N.963). Toned, double struck on reverse, fine and scarce.
