PAIR OF SILVER DRINKING/LOVING CUPS, hallmarked Augsburg, 1759, squat circular bowl with cylindrical neck and a circular gadrooned base, decorated all over with floral repousse designs, the rim of one cup engraved 'KILDEVAND OG KAERLIGHED SOLLEROD VANDTAARN 29 AUGUST 1907' (Spring Water and Love, Sollerod Water Tower, 29 August 1907). Very fine and rare.

Sollerod is a suburban district of Rudersdal Municipality in the northern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. The first waterworks opened on Fogedgardens's land to the east of the village in 1907.
