ROYAL HUMANE SOCIETY, small bronze medal (successful) (type 2), with contemporary gilding and a small loop fitted to suspension rod, edge inscribed, 'William H Rowe, 28, July, 1869.'. No ribbon, very fine.

Ex Dix Noonan Webb auction 26 March 2009 (lot 480).
Pilot William H. Rowe effected a successful rescue off Plymouth Sound on 28 July 1869 (R.H.S. Case No. 18262).
