IMPERIAL SERVICE MEDAL (GVR), with pin-back ribbon suspender. Cornelius Cleary. Impressed. Ribbon faded, otherwise toned extremely fine.

On Monday 3 June 1929 Imperial Service Medals for long and faithful service were presented to ex-members of the Queensland Police Force on the Petrie Terrace parade ground in Brisbane by His Excellency the Governor Sir John Goodwin. Only five former police officers were present. One of those not present was No.6632 Ex-Senior Sergeant Cornelius Cleary who joined the force in September 1890 and retired in March 1927 (ISM awarded 16Oct1928).
