THRACE, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, issued after 281 B.C., Cius Mint, (17.01 g), obv. Diademed head of Alexander the Great right wearing horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left. holding Nike and resting left arm on shield; transverse spear resting against right side, on right **BASILEWS*, to left **LUSIMACO[U]*, to far left vertical club, MHY monogram to left, bow in case and A**G* monogram in exergue, (cf.S.6814, Thompson -, M.413, Mektepini 160-162). Bright. nearly extremely fine and very rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics retail trade with extensive ticket previously from CNG Mail bid Sale 63, May 21, 2003 (lot 284) with their ticket. Type not present in Meydancikkale Hoard or the Armenak Hoard.
