THRACE, kings of, Rhoemetalkes I, (11 B.C.- 12 A.D.), AE 22, (9.12 g), obv. jugate heads of Rhoemetalces and his wife, to right, the king wears diadem, border of dots, around **BASIL[EWS ROIMHTAL]KOY* rev. head of Augustus to right, border of dots, around **KAISAROS SEBASTOY*, (S.-, SNG Cop. 1188, RPC 1711, Youroukova 204); Kings of the Bosporos, Queen Gepaepyris, (A.D.37/8-38/9), AE 25, (9.04 g), obv. diademed and draped bust to right, rev. head of Aphrodite Apatura to right, wearing kalathos and veil, IB (mark of value) to left, (RPC 1907, MacDonald 306, Frolova & Ireland pl. 47, 2-3, Anokhin 326, SNG Copenhagen 25-26). First coin with attractive green patina, good very fine and scarce; second with brown patina, fine and rare. (2)
