ABYSSINIAN WAR MEDAL 1867-68. 1148 P.Bergin 33rd D.W. Regt. Naming embossed in relief on reverse. With original ribbon and two new ribbons, some small edge nicks and contact marks, otherwise very fine.

P.Bergin's brother, Pte James Bergin, was one of only two Victoria Cross recipients for the Abyssinian War. He died at Poona, British India on 1 December 1880. His Victoria Cross is on display at the Duke of Wellington's Regimental Museum in West Yorkshire, England.
