PUPIENUS, (A.D. 238), silver denarius, issued A.D. 238, (3.37 g), Rome Mint, obv. laureate bust to right of Pupienus, around IMP C M CLOD PVPIENVS AVG, rev. Pax seated to left, holding olive branch and sceptre, around PAX PVBLICA, (S.8526, RIC 4, RSC 22). Good very fine or better with surface porosity, rare.
